A neat thing I learned from Ystävien Tammikahvila (I think?) was that you can make really good vegan egg butter (a spread traditionally eaten on top of Karelian pies, small pastries of effectively rice porridge in a boat of rye dough) with silken tofu, chickpeas, margarine and kala namak (i.e. volcanic salt, which contains sulphurous compounds and thus has a strong egg flavour). Vegan karelian pies with vegan egg butter were served at Kolo, the volunteer vegan café I helped at, and this piece was made to advertize some kind of a special deal related to the opening of the café where you could get a voucher for a cup of coffee and one of said pies, if I recall correctly.
