The Balloon

"What did mother say about playing with too big balloons?
After a huge break I decided to paint something. I thought that I could try to make the 'main object' of the painting to stick out better with bordering, and leave the rest borderless. It worked quite well IMO.

This was my favourite painting of mine for a long time, all the way until I started painting again in university and especially until I painted Radio Towers. I guess the simple concept with the high contrast between the fore- and background stuck with me.
