Nightly visitor (2017)
How silly that I've named two different pieces the exact same way without noticing!! Original note:
"Long have I been hunted; it warms my old heart to receive hospitability every once in a while..."
"Yay! It's been a year since I last painted a small watercolour piece like this, and even longer since I last did some more daring things with the colours. I'm pretty happy with this, although in the physical piece there are places where the watercolours look darker than the surrounding black cardboard, giving things a bit more shape than intended. Oh well!! Unfortunately my scanner is being pretty awful so the result isn't too great.
2-3 hours with pencil & watercolours on black cardboard."
