I couldn't help myself and started development on a new metroidvania straight after finishing ESA. This game continues the story and explains some of ESA's more mysterious elements. The game is still fairly early in development but I definitely hope it wont take as long as ESA did.
Baba Is You killed ESA2's development for several years, but since around 2022 or so I've done a more concerted effort to get it back on track. At the moment the game's development progresses again but it's still ways from being finished.
